Welcome to SOAR
SOAR stands for Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration, and that is a good summary of what you will accomplish through the program. Even if you earned college credit or an associates degree while in high school, you will receive information necessary to enroll and succeed in the university setting. As an incoming first-year student, you are required to complete SOAR.

Fall Semester
Registration is currently closed.
Summer Semester
Registration is currently closed.
Spring Semester
Registration is currently closed. Registration for Spring 2014 SOAR will open mid October.
What is a First Year Student?
A first year student is anyone who is attending Utah State University for the first time and has not yet completed 24 or more post high school credits (does not include AP or Concurrent Enrollment).
International Students
New Student Dates & Deadlines
- Now - FAFSA applications open, on-campus housing applications ongoing
- August 7 - Tuition and Fees Payment Deadline (by mail)
- August 14- Tuition and Fees Payment Deadline (online or in person)
- August 17- Students attending Connections may move into their on-campus housing
- August 20 - Connections Check-In and Welcome Fair
- August 26 - First Day of Classes for fall semester
