High school students can now enroll in select Utah State University courses taught online. Our online courses offerings prepare you for college sooner, allow flexibility to fit your schedule, and you pay a fraction of the cost while earning college credits.

COST
(pricing is for students outside the state of Utah)- $50 application fee (one time)
- $75 per credit*
(3-credit course = $275 for the 1st class, $225 for additional classes)
*online course materials/digital textbooks may be required and are an additional cost.
ELIGIBILITY
- 3.0 high school GPA or higher
- 10th-12th grade
- Current high school transcript will be required as part of the application process
*Utah students are not eligible for the Early Aggie Program during the school year.

COURSE OFFERINGS | 2026-2027
These courses fulfill several general education requirements and allow students to begin major courses sooner.
Students explore career pathways and the opportunities and resources available at the post-secondary level. Students are introduced to the Habits of Mind they must develop and practice to achieve success in college, careers, and other professional environments.
This course introduces basic financial subjects and explores ways to balance between the numerical and behavioral aspects of finances, such as how financial decisions are affected by behavior and relationships within a family and societal context.
Environment as a basis for land use and design decisions. Topics discussed include environmental awareness, the planning and design process, and design related to open space, communities, and the region.
Functions: graphs, transformations, combinations, and inverses. Polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic functions, and applications. Systems of equations and matrices. Partial fractions. Graphing calculator required.
Successful completion of Secondary Math I, II, and III with a C average or higher course grade in all three courses AND one of the following within the last year:
- ACT Math score of 23 or higher
- ALEKS Math Placement score of 46 or higher for MATH 1050.
- SAT Math score of 570 or higher
- AP Calculus AB score of 3 or higher
This is a nontechnical course to develop critical listening skills. Students explore the meaning and purpose of music in a variety of theoretical, cultural, and historic contexts, helping the student develop a lifelong appreciation of music in all its forms.
This course provides a foundation in the historical basis and real-world application of physics principles. Students learn that the world works by a discoverable set of rules, and emphasis is placed on fundamental concepts and logic rather than numerical problem-solving.
U.S. Constitution, political parties and elections, interest groups, Congress, president, bureaucracy, courts, and civil rights and liberties. This course meets the Americanization requirement.
This course provides an overview of the criminal justice system. The three pillars of the criminal justice system (police, courts, and corrections) are covered. Theory and research of crime is covered as well.
Introduction to the visual arts, including the language, elements, and history of art.
Students learn the structures and functions of major human organ systems.

THINGS TO KNOW
- Applying: Utah residents should apply directly through Concurrent Enrollment at concurrent.usu.edu.
- Participation: Not all states and high schools have a partnership with USU. Check with your high school counselor to see if you are eligible to participate in this program.
- College Credit: Students will earn USU course credit recorded on their USU transcript. This course is offered through Early College and is not a Concurrent Enrollment course, so high school credit is not guaranteed. Please work with your high school counselor to determine whether the course may be added to your high school transcript upon successful completion.
