Aggie First Scholars
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Each year, many first-generation USU students decline to attend for no other reason than a lack of funds. Some of them come from humble circumstances or have faced extraordinary challenges or heart-wrenching setbacks. For these students, a helping hand can make all the difference in their education and their future.
Through generous donations, AFS scholarship recipients are given the financial support needed so they can focus on their educational achievements rather than on the demanding financial burdens they would otherwise face. Support from generous donors is critical to the continued success of our first-generation students.
1. Naming and Designation
You can name the scholarship for yourself, your organization or a loved one. You may also designate the scholarship to students within a specific college.
2. Annual AFS Fall Event
AFS donors are invited to the Logan campus to meet with scholarship recipients every fall. This event gives you the opportunity to meet the students you support, hear about how the scholarship is impacting their lives and build new friendships.
3. Donor Affordability
Whereas named scholarships are typically reserved for large endowments, AFS scholarships can be started with a donation to fund two semesters for one student.
