Utah State University Public Speaking

Our Mission:

The Utah State University Public Speaking class is dedicated to helping students find their own voice. We are taking ordinary young adults and turning them into confident, professional, and capable members of society. We believe that helping students find their voice will give them power to shape our world. Throughout history public speaking has been the catalyst in bringing down corrupt regimes and building powerful nations. In has been instrumental in spreading the desire for change and fostering compassion to conquer hate. Public speaking has the power to bring hope, inspire learning, and build people up. By supporting this class, you are helping give these students a chance to develop and refine their voice, so they can become the next generation of leaders, innovators, and activists.

The Showcase:

Each semester we provide students the opportunity to showcase what they have learned, and to share their voices which they have spent the semester refining. These students are selected to participate in this competition showcase because they have demonstrated hard work, dedication, and mastery in their public speaking abilities. This is their opportunity to be recognized for their hard work and dedication throughout the semester, and to demonstrate the skills they have gained. This night is a time for celebrating these students’ journey to find their voice and having the courage to share it with us. Thank you for supporting our students.
