Elevate Eastern

USU Eastern – Elevate Eastern Scholarship Program

It’s time to Elevate Eastern! Utah State University Eastern has established the Elevate Eastern Scholarship program to help remove financial barriers to higher education and enhance the student experience on the USU Eastern campus. Elevate Eastern will directly impact USU Eastern students, the USU Eastern campus, Price and Helper Cities, Carbon County and beyond.

Elevate Eastern will provide eligible USU Eastern students with financial support assisting with their cost of attendance. Cost of attendance can include housing, food, books, academic supplies, transportation and tuition and fees. On average, USU Eastern students will spend twice as much to cover cost of attendance expenses than they will on tuition and fees. Often, the financial barriers prohibiting students from pursuing a higher education, or continuing their degree, lay within the cost of attendance category.

Elevate Eastern will lead to USU Eastern enrollment growth. Increasing the student population and the enhancement of the local, trained workforce will support the growth of existing employers, attract new businesses and help invigorate local economies. A stable economy, higher individual earning potential and greater access to higher education will help break the cycle of generational poverty within the region.

Elevate Eastern scholarships will be awarded to undergraduate students enrolled in courses taught on the USU Eastern campus. Recipients must remain in good academic standing and should be eligible to work in the United States. Both full-time and part-time students are eligible to receive Elevate Eastern scholarships of up to $2,000/academic year.
