April Jensen Endowed Scholarship Fund

As a friend of April Barker Jensen and/or her family we invite you to reflect upon her life for a moment. April was a wonderful example of hard work, kindness and determination, and she made a positive impact upon the lives of everyone she met. April came to Utah State University after graduating from Evanston High School in Wyoming. She fell in love with USU and the local community in Logan, Utah. She truly believed in Utah State University’s Power to Change for Good. She received a bachelor of science degree from the College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences and later a masters degree in Human Resources from the Huntsman School of Business. Agriculture was always a part of April’s life, from her experiences on the family ranch to tending her own garden each year, growing and cultivating brought her joy. April was a natural leader and was devoted to and loved her Aggie family. It is no wonder she became USU’s Assistant Vice President of Advancement.

It’s been over a year now since we lost her, a year to process our individual experiences with her, a year of calling upon cherished memories. We would like to empower April’s desire to help — in any way she could— students reach their goals of receiving USU degrees, a repeated personal achievement that changed April’s life and, by extension, the lives of all who loved her. To that end, we would like you to join us in establishing the April Jensen Scholarship Endowment that will encourage students at Utah State to celebrate April’s myriad gifts to us in perpetuity.

To honor April’s memory, we invite you to give a gift of support to the scholarship which will be given to a College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences student each year. Please join us in creating this memorial to a wonderful life and to an extraordinary friend.
