Amanda Moser Lyons Scholarship Endowment
Amanda Moser Lyons was known as “the nicest person in the world”. She made many friends throughout her journey simply because of her upbeat love of life. She was full of adventure and did everything with that signature smile. Growing up on a dairy farm in Idaho gave her the confidence she could do anything with a positive attitude. She took that optimism to Utah State where she attended school during the day and worked at night to pay for expenses. She was a member of Alpha Chi Omega where she held several leadership positions, attended sporting events, and managed to maintain exceptional grades, graduating with a finance degree. She loved her experience at Utah State where she always made time for friends resulting in incredible memories and loyal relationships.
Amanda excelled in her professional career working as the controller at Merit Medical Systems in Salt Lake City. As a leader she did what she did best- treated everyone with respect and kindness. She showed up everyday with integrity and the same work ethic and team work that she learned while working on the farm.
Amanda’s greatest joy was her family. She left behind 3 young children who were taught what’s important in life. They witnessed first hand how to live with grace and dignity as she battled cancer. She was the ultimate example of courage. Because of her influence everyone who had the privilege of knowing Amanda wanted to become a better person. Her legacy continues through this leadership endowment.
To the Donors of the Amanda Moser Lyons Scholarship,
I am so honored and thankful to have been chosen to receive this scholarship. I could never fully express my appreciation to the generous donors of this Scholarship and thank them for their willingness to give of themselves to those in need. This financial help will mean the world to me and my family, as we have been struggling for quite some time now. I will use this money to further pursue my degree in Elementary Education, I would love to one day teach Elementary School Music as I am a trained musician.
Being a member of Alpha Chi Omega has provided me with so many rewarding experiences and leadership opportunities. Being the VP Finance this year has really taught me the value of money and how our chapter uses it.
Again, my heart is so full of joy and thanks to you giving and selfless Donors for choosing me for this scholarship which means the world to me. Thank you!
Thankfully,

To the donors of the Amanda Moser Lyons Scholarship,
Hello! My name is Carminda Greenstone.
Thank you for choosing me to be the recipient of this scholarship. I can assure you that it will help not only myself, but my family as well in relieving some financial stress. I am very appreciative for any amount that I can get paid for. I have been raised with a single mother and money is always the first thing that stops myself or my family from achieving the things we know we are capable of.
The generosity that you have shown to me will not go unnoticed! I am the first to go to college in my family and hope to inspire younger cousins that they too can earn degrees. My entire family thanks you. Your willingness to help students during the most important times of their lives makes all the difference.
Again, thanks to you I will have the opportunity to continue another year of school. Your donation will help me while I pursue a degree in social work. I always put service to others as the most important aspect of my life. I promise to serve you by continuing to put forth 110% of myself to this field and completing college. You have truly impacted my life, as small as it may seem to you, it means the entire world to me.
Thank you and best regards,
Carminda Greenstone
