Sr. Director of Development – Gift Planning
The Sr. Director of Development-Gift Planning (Development Officer SR) provides overall guidance and management of the planned giving program and team. She/he is responsible for the acquisition of philanthropic planned gifts and evaluating gift planning officer performance. The Sr. Director enhances the performance of other fundraisers by helping them develop planned giving and complex gift competencies, providing feedback and perspective on their fundraising approach/methods, coaching them to realize their optimal performance and objectives, and traveling with gift officers to assist donors in achieving their philanthropic goals. She/he will identify planned giving prospects to help achieve USU advancement’s goals.
Associate Director/Director of Corporate and Foundation Development
The Associate Director/Director of Corporate and Foundation Development provides university-wide guidance and coordination of all solicitations of corporations and foundations. The position is responsible to maintain strong institutional relationships with corporations and foundations while maximizing philanthropic gifts to various units of campus including statewide campuses.
Development Officer/Associate Director
The Development Officer/Associate Director is responsible for the qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major gift prospects. This position will work with donors to link their passions to university/college priorities and determine the appropriate gift vehicles, including cash, securities, real property and others.
About the Office of Advancement
The Office of Advancement is a welcoming office where inclusiveness and teamwork are highly valued. Advancement staff are engaged in the meaningful work of securing private financial resources to fuel Utah State University's mission by creating gratifying gift and engagement experiences for USU's generous and passionate alumni and friends.
Comprising the division are the office of the Vice President, the USU Foundation Board, Advancement Services, the Alumni Association, Planned Giving, Corporations and Foundations, Stewardship and Donor Engagement, the Annual Fund and Phonathon. Furthermore, the division coordinates all fundraising efforts across campus, including colleges, various programs, extension campuses, and USU Athletics. Through the collaboration of these units, the Office of Advancement is able to achieve significant annual fundraising goals by inspiring stakeholders to invest their time and resources in Utah State University.
