Emma Eccles Jones Early Child Education and Research Center (1989-1991)
As home of one of North America’s premier hubs of early childhood research and education activity, the Emma Eccles Jones Early Child Education and Research Center reflects the creative, generous spirit of Emma Eccles Jones. Her legacy of educational excellence is also evident in the superb programs within the Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and
Human Services.
In the early 1930s, Emma was ahead of her time. After finishing her studies at Columbia University where she learned from America’s most innovative educators, she brought a progressive vision to the first kindergarten in Logan, Utah, and ultimately to Utah State University. The center continues her dream of providing quality education for young children, cutting-edge early childhood research, and unequaled professional training for Utah State University students.
