Nora Eccles Harrison (1902-1978) Museum of Art
Named for its benefactor, the Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art was founded in 1982 through a generous gift from the Nora Eccles Treadwell Foundation. The museum’s four-story, 23,000-square-foot facility was designed by architect Edward Larabee Barnes. Capturing 20th- and 21st-century American art with an emphasis on art in the American West, the collection consists of more than 5,000 original pieces. The museum’s collection development and growth has been supported by the Marie Eccles Caine Foundation, Kathryn C. Wanlass Foundation, Nora Eccles Treadwell Foundation, Janet Quinney Lawson Foundation and the Frederick Q. Lawson Foundation along with many individual donors.
The museum organizes temporary exhibitions and numerous public events, all free of charge, to provide educational opportunities to students and the surrounding community.
Noni’s Coffee Shop

Noni’s Coffee Shop is located in the Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art. Named after Nora Eccles Harrison’s childhood nickname, Noni, the coffee shop offers many vegetarian and vegan options, as well as a full-service espresso bar.
Beverages, pastries and soups are served in handmade mugs, bowls and plates, created by Utah State’s own Ceramics Department.
Marie Eccles Caine Gallery (1892-1981)

Marie Eccles Caine was raised in Logan and attended the Agricultural College of Utah (UAC), now Utah State University, where her husband George Ballif Caine founded the Dairy Sciences Department and then served as department head for nearly 40 years. The couple raised three children at the base of Old Main Hill, where they each went on to attend USU.
Before motherhood and married life, Marie studied painting at the Chicago Art Institute and in New York.
Marie instigated a culture of philanthropy and service to a region outside the rail lines that helped generate the family fortune.
The Very Reverend Frederick Quinney Lawson
Gallery

Known affectionately as Father Rick, The Very Reverend Frederick Quinney Lawson is a respected religious, philanthropic, and community leader. An ordained priest in the Anglican Communion, he has made lasting contributions to faith, education, and the arts in Utah and beyond.
A longtime supporter of the University of Utah College of Nursing, Father Rick recently established three endowed funds to strengthen faculty recruitment and retention—an effort aimed at addressing the critical national shortage of nursing educators. His gifts build on over a decade of support, including scholarships for “Lawson Fellows” and funding for key facilities within the college.
Father Rick’s commitment extends beyond healthcare. He actively serves with many of Utah’s leading cultural institutions, including Ballet West, the Utah Symphony, Utah Opera, and the Utah Arts Festival, helping to sustain the state’s vibrant arts community.
“We all will need the care of a nurse sometime during our life,” he says. “Our support now will help ensure that nurses will be there when we need them.”
