The purpose of the RT Clark Photography Scholarship is to help and support students on a career path to being professional photographers.  We encourage patrons of photography and the arts to donate to this fund to help future generations of photographers. Thank you for your support!

Ralph T. “RT” Clark has a long history with the arts at Utah State University.  RT received his BS degree in art/photography from USAC (now USU).  He received his BPA in photographic advertising/illustration from the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles and his MFA in photography from USU.  He came to USU in 1963 to reorganize all instructional photography on campus into one program within the Fine Arts Department (now Art & Design).  He taught for 29 years and was department head from 1980-1984.  He also had a successful freelance and professional career and was recognized for his excellence in the craft through various shows, awards, and acquisitions. Upon retirement, RT continued to be very involved with the college and the RT Clark Scholarship in USU’s Department of Art & Design was established.  In 2006, with help from Professor Craig Law, RT held the exhibition Intimate Landscape – An Artist’s Portfolio.  All proceeds from sales of portfolios and prints went to RT’s scholarship fund.  In 2013, RT and Craig Law held an extremely successful joint art exhibition in the Caine College of the Arts.  Many of the proceeds from this exhibition were also donated to the scholarship fund.
