I aspire to one day work as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, specifically providing aid to individuals who have been impacted by trauma. Outside of my professional aspirations, I enjoy traveling, working out, and engaging in the world of art through activities like modern dance, photography, and painting.

Cassie

Hi, I’m Cassie! I’m a junior majoring in Psychology and minoring in Human Development and Family Studies. I plan to pursue a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy after receiving my Bachelor’s. When I’m not studying, you can usually find me running, enjoying the outdoors, or spending time with my family and friends.

I know firsthand that having support for your mental health can make a huge difference, especially as a student. I’ve been through a variety of challenges that I feel have enabled me to empathize more deeply with other students. I’m excited to be a REACH Peer this school year as I hope to be able to pay forward the support I’ve received on my personal journey. If you’re going through a difficult time on your own journey, please don’t hesitate to reach out! I’m happy to help and can’t wait to meet you! :)

Jayden

Jayden

Hi, I’m Jayden! I’m a junior majoring in Social Work and minoring Psychology, and hope to obtain my Master’s in Social Work after graduation! I hope to work as a therapist and eventually oversee my own program. During my free time you’ll see me hiking, meditating, playing guitar, and spending time with my friends and family.

I believe that mental health impacts everyone on differing levels, so there is always a need for qualified people who can help you out. I have been through my fair share of questionable mental health treatments, so like everybody else in the REACH Peer program I take pride in following evidence-based interventions while also of course just being another human who can talk to you! Like anything else the hardest step is usually the first one, so please don’t be afraid to meet up so we can work on some pretty cool mental health skills!"

Tori

Hi! My name is Tori. I am studying Human Development and Family Studies, with minors in Psychology and Mental Health Awareness and Advocacy. My goal is to become a Marriage and Family Therapist. Outside of school, I love to go country swing dancing, exercise, and spend time with my favorite people.

When we are hurting, I believe we accept so much less than we deserve—less happiness, opportunities, and even the ability to thrive. I have found, in my search for identity, that being aware of my mental health and taking action to improve it is the very step I need to reach what I deserve. If you are tired of settling for less, but don’t know how to get there, let's take the first step together and start prioritizing your mental health and working to improve it! I am so beyond excited to be a REACH Peer!
