Corey
Hi everyone, my name is Corey! I am a junior Honors student double-majoring in Psychology and Cultural Anthropology, with a minor in Music Studies. I plan to pursue a PhD in Psychology to delve deeper into human behavior and community well-being.
When I'm not focused on my studies, I love working with my hands, whether that’s an automotive project or growing and caring for super-hot peppers in my indoor garden.
Mental health is something we all deal with in our own way, and having someone to talk to can really help. I love being part of REACH because it lets me support people in a down to earth, human way — no pressure, no judgment. If you ever want to talk or learn some helpful skills, I’m always around.

Dane
Hey, my name is Dane, and I am a senior majoring in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies! I am planning on pursuing a Master's in Social Work so I can become a licensed clinical social worker! Outside of school, I enjoy playing basketball, walking my dog, reading books, and listening to some good music.
I am very excited to be a REACH Peer and teach the art of mindfulness & meditation. Our unique world can be overwhelming, and it is common to struggle with finding inner peace in the midst of all of the stress, trauma, distractions, and demands life will inevitably throw at you. I believe mindfulness and meditation can be a great way to deepen intentionality within yourself. I found myself stuck in cycles of pursuing instant gratification to cope with the challenges I was facing in life, and it left me feeling numb and disconnected from all the joys you can also experience in life. Mindfulness & meditation practices can be a great way to stop said cycles and ground you to the intentionality that may help you experience life in more fulfilling and positive ways. If this resonates with you, it would be an honor to share what I have learned and work with you on your own growth journey.

When we are hurting, I believe we accept so much less than we deserve—less happiness, opportunities, and even the ability to thrive. If you are tired of settling for less, but don’t know how to get there, let's take the first step together and start prioritizing your mental health and working to improve it! I am so beyond excited to be a REACH Peer!
