A look at the university’s current progress, priorities, academic developments, and legislative environment Brad Mortensen is the 18th president of Utah State University. He is a proud first-generation Aggie returning to his alma mater. With more than two decades of higher-education leadership, including nearly seven years as president of Weber State University, he is deeply committed to student access, success, and affordability. Guided by the question “Are we the problem?” President Mortensen leads Utah State with a focus on opportunity for every Aggie and research that improves lives across Utah and beyond.

membership year.
