Donna Ellen Crow ’83, ’90

Utah State University proudly recognizes Donna Ellen Crow with the Alumni Merit Citation for her visionary leadership, lasting impact, and decades of dedicated service to student success.

Donna arrived at Utah State University in 1976 to pursue her studies in the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business, earning her bachelor’s degree in marketing in 1983 and a master’s degree in business information systems in 1990. Over the course of her distinguished career, she transformed Career Services — laying the groundwork for what is now the USU Career Design Center.

As director of Career Services, Donna built and mentored an exceptional team whose members continue to serve in leadership roles across campus and beyond. Her pioneering work in assessment, strategic planning, and student development elevated Utah State’s career services to national prominence and influenced programs throughout the Utah System of Higher Education.

Donna’s forward-thinking approach introduced innovative practices, including the adoption of the Designing Your Life framework — the first of its kind in Utah higher education — ensuring that Aggies are prepared not only for their first job, but for a lifetime of purpose and fulfillment.

Her legacy continues to shape the lives of Utah State students and professionals across the West.
