Utah State University Alumni Merit Citation 

Utah State University proudly recognizes Nathan Fuller, Blake W. Lance, and Henry Coakley with the Alumni Merit Citation for their distinguished professional achievements and their exceptional efforts to strengthen Aggie affinity in New Mexico.

All three are accomplished engineers at Sandia National Laboratories, where their leadership and expertise advance critical national research in energy systems, fluid dynamics, and defense technologies. Yet, beyond their professional success, Nathan, Blake, and Henry have gone above and beyond to keep the Aggie spirit thriving in Albuquerque.

In the absence of an official alumni chapter, they have created and maintained their own Aggie network — building a growing list of Utah State graduates in the area and organizing gatherings that bring alumni together. This past summer, they hosted a picnic attended by more than 40 Aggies and their families, celebrating their shared connection to Utah State.

The trio also leads a grassroots effort to establish the USU Alumni at Sandia Scholarship Endowment, rallying fellow alumni to contribute toward a $25,000 goal by 2029. Their initiative, collaboration, and passion exemplify the true Aggie spirit — one of leadership, service, and connection.
