Chris Seibert ’75

Utah State University Alumni Merit Citation

A dedicated advocate, loyal alumnus, and trusted ambassador for Utah State University, Chris Seibert has spent decades strengthening the Aggie community through service, philanthropy, and meaningful engagement. A 1975 graduate of Utah State University with a degree in writing and mass communication from what is now the College of Arts & Sciences, Chris has remained deeply connected to his alma mater, investing his time, leadership, and resources to create opportunities for students and elevate the university he proudly calls home.

Chris built a distinguished career in banking, finance, and global business, holding international assignments with Chase Manhattan, American Express Bank, and National City Corporation in Germany and Greece before retiring in 2013 as director of finance for data management at American Express. In 2010, he founded Seibert LLC, where he continues to serve as an entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and trust administrator.

While his professional accomplishments are notable, Chris’s lasting impact at Utah State comes through his service and generosity. He has served as chair of the Dean’s Development Board for the former College of Humanities and Social Sciences and as a member of the College of Arts & Sciences board, where he has worked to strengthen alumni engagement and advocate for students, faculty, and programs. He is also a strong supporter of Aggie Athletics and statewide campuses, helping expand awareness of USU’s reach across Utah.

Together with his wife, Doreen, Chris has supported a wide range of university initiatives and is a proud member of the Old Main Society. Through the Robert I. Seibert Trust, he and his brothers established scholarships that support Utah State students, including an athletic scholarship honoring their father and an annual student aid grant program.

Chris’s generosity extends beyond campus. He began volunteering with Meals on Wheels during the COVID-19 pandemic and continues to serve today, reflecting a lifelong commitment to helping others and strengthening the community.

Whether reconnecting with former classmates, attending university events, or encouraging fellow Aggies to stay engaged, Chris embodies the loyalty, generosity, and spirit that define Utah State.

For his dedication to Utah State University, his meaningful service to the Aggie community, and his lifelong commitment as an advocate and ambassador, the USU Alumni Association is proud to bestow upon Chris Seibert the Alumni Merit Citation.
