Ross Peterson, Ph.D.

Utah State University Historian & Professor Emeritus
We’re pleased to announce that Dr. Ross Peterson will serve as the faculty guide for this Aggie Europe Expedition.
A longtime Utah State University professor and historian and foundational hallmark of the Aggie Travel program, Ross will add historical perspective, stories, and context throughout the journey, helping bring the people, places, and pivotal events of the two World Wars to life.

Explore Britain’s wartime history at the Imperial War Museum, Churchill War Rooms, and historic HMS Belfast.
🇫🇷 Normandy
Cross the English Channel and visit Pointe du Hoc, Utah Beach, Normandy American Cemetery, and other sites connected to the D-Day campaign.
🇫🇷 The Somme
Explore the battlefields of World War I, including the Thiepval Memorial, Lochnagar Crater, and Newfoundland Memorial at Beaumont-Hamel.
🇧🇪 Flanders Fields

All $800-per-person deposits must be paid by this date. ($100 non-refundable) - November 23, 2026: Group Minimum Decision Date
USU Alumni & Blue Planet will announce whether the group minimum has been reached. If the minimum is not met, all deposits will be refunded. - December 1, 2026: Deposit Cancellation Deadline
Cancellations received by this date will receive a refund of the deposit less the $100 non-refundable portion. After this date, the $800 deposit is non-refundable, but additional payments are refundable until January 8. - January 8, 2027: Final Payment & Cancellation Deadline
Final payment is due. After this date, all payments are non-refundable.
