Museum and Music: The Esoteric Lure and Lore of the West

Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art

Sunday, April 12th | 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM

At end of the 19th century, many of the themes, ideas, and imagery of the west became entangled with various esoteric and occult belief systems leading in the 20th century to the emergence of the “New Age” movement. This concert will build on themes presented in The Lure and Lore of the West to explore these intersections through the performance by USU music students of works by John Cage, Henry Cowell, and Arthur Farwell.
