Robert Winkler and his sculpture Four Without is one of the six winners of the 2000 Logan Biennial National Outdoor Sculpture Competition held at USU. Constructed of wood and steel, the sculpture consists of four pyramid-like structures that dance towards the sky. In his art practice, Winkler makes sculptures based on mathematics that have a strong sense of movement and repetition. His sculptures are not static objects, but rather objects of engagement because of their illusion of flexibility and movement. Four Without is located in an outside courtyard near the main entrance of the Natural Resources building.
