Located south of the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum, the Veterans Memorial acknowledges and recognizes the contributions of military veterans. Cadet members of the Arnold Air Force Society initiated this ambitious project. The memorial is an upright slab of granite weighing 3,750 pounds. In the center of the granite wall is a sculpture depicting the silhouetted forms of service men and women. To the left and right of this scene are roundels with seals of the U.S. military branches: Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy, and their respective reserves. The memorial also includes a curved walkway, benches for seating, and a flag pole with the American flag. It was dedicated in a public ceremony on Veterans Day in 2003.
