Scope of the Civil Rights & Title IX Office
The Civil Rights & Title IX Office is the unit designated by the university to enforce state and federal law (including Title IX) and University policies related to sexual misconduct, discrimination, equal opportunity, and affirmative action. You are encouraged to report incidents of sexual misconduct or prohibited discrimination and harassment through the online reporting form, via email, by phone (435-797-1266), or in person in Distance Education Room 400 on the Logan campus.
Sexual Misconduct
Sexual misconduct is a broad non-legal term that includes sexual harassment, relationship violence, sexual assault, sexual exploitation, and sex-based stalking. Sexual misconduct is a form of sex discrimination and is prohibited by USU Policies 2102 and 2103. Discrimination
Interim USU Policy 2101 prohibits discrimination, including harassment, in USU's programs and activities, including admissions, employment, and housing offerings. Prohibited discrimination and harassment is treatment based on a person’s protected characteristic(s) that negatively impacts the person’s employment or educational experience.
