About This Minor
The Animal Biotechnology minor at Utah State University equips students with valuable knowledge and hands-on training in critical biotechnology techniques and procedures.
Our program, housed in the Department of Animal, Dairy, and Veterinary Sciences, prepares students for a wide range of careers in the life sciences industry.
What You Will Learn
Students will learn about ethical issues in genetic engineering and biotechnology, gain proficiency in cell culture and molecular cloning methods, understand animal molecular biology, and develop skills in science communication.

Admission
Admission Requirements
- Students must maintain a 2.5 GPA in ADVS courses. Transfer students must have a minimum of one 3-credit upper-division course in residency with the approval of the ADVS academic advisor.
- A minimum grade of C is required in all courses applied toward this minor.
