About This Certificate
We live in a time of unprecedented access to information and computational power, creating opportunities to build data-driven mathematical representations of real-world phenomena.
Yet many current educators have little exposure to the computational tools and methods necessary to complete such tasks.
This Data Modeling Education Post Bachelor’s Certificate provides educators with opportunities to learn techniques in data science and mathematical modeling with a focus on how to teach these principles to students from kindergarten to college (K-16).
The primary audience of this post-bachelor’s certificate are current or future educators who anticipate teaching quantitative courses (math and statistics in particular) to K-16 students. Those who complete this certificate will receive broad exposure to the principles of mathematical modeling and data science that will help them prepare the students of today for the technological innovations of tomorrow.
