About This Certificate
The Fashion Studies Institutional Certificate of Proficiency will introduce students to the apparel and fashion industry through textile science, apparel construction, sustainability, and product design and development.
This certificate enhances various career paths in fashion, design, costuming, anthropology, journalism, and business, strengthens resumes and empowers students through education and experience in fashion studies.
What You Will Learn
Students will learn design and development skills and processes related to apparel and soft-goods gear production. Courses provide students with opportunities to design and construct apparel, experiment with textile science, evaluate sustainable systems, identify the role of fashion within a sociocultural context, apply fashion fundamentals, and engage in entry-level practices related to fashion marketing.
