About This Certificate
The Graduate Certificate in Precision Agriculture Technology is designed to prepare both fully matriculated graduate students as well as current professionals in the field wishing to enhance their portfolios to understand and implement precision agriculture technology.
Precision agriculture is a multi-faceted science that involves several different disciplines – including plant, soil, and climate sciences, several facets of engineering (electrical, agriculture, biological, irrigation, etc.), agricultural technologies and systems, economics, statistics, mathematics, and geographic information systems.
This certificate incorporates these disciplines from with courses from four departments (PSC, CEE, APEC, and ASTE). This certificate may be earned as a stand-alone certification or as part of a participating department’s graduate program.
What You Will Learn
Students who complete the program will receive a graduate-level certificate in Precision Agriculture Technology. They will learn and become proficient in the latest techniques, tools, and technologies for precision agriculture, including site-specific management of crop inputs. Their USU transcript will list the courses and grades received to complete the certificate.
