Course Substitutions

Academic accommodation for the University Studies Quantitative Literacy (QL) and Quantitative Intensive (QI) requirements may be considered after a student has demonstrated, through educational history and medical or psychological documentation, that he or she needs the accommodation.

QL/QI Accommodations should be requested through a student’s Accessibility Consultant in the DRC. Accommodations are granted on a case-by-case basis following a review by the QL/QI Accommodation Committee. Accommodation is made by substituting alternative courses, as approved by the General Education Committee for required QL/QI courses.

Course substitutions for classes determined by a student’s Department and College to be non-essential may also be available. Requests should be made to your Accessibility Consultant who will work with the appropriate department to determine if a substitution is appropriate.
