AI in Action: Hands‑On Strategies for Transforming Teaching and Learning
In-Person
Abstract
Artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping the landscape of higher education, offering new possibilities for course design, assessment, student support, and faculty workflow. Yet many educators are still unsure how to integrate AI tools in ways that are pedagogically sound and meaningful into their classrooms. This interactive session invites participants to explore practical, classroom‑tested applications of AI that enhance instruction, streamline workflow, and support student learning.
Presenters will demonstrate real examples of how they have incorporated AI into their own courses—ranging from generating instructional materials to creating discipline‑specific learning activities. Following these demonstrations, participants will engage in guided creation time, experimenting with AI tools to design a resource of their choosing that they can immediately implement in their own classroom. Presenters will circulate to offer coaching, troubleshoot challenges, and help attendees adapt ideas to their specific teaching contexts.
Educators will leave with practical strategies, a ready‑to‑use classroom artifact, and a clearer understanding of how AI can support—not replace—their professional expertise.
