GEAR UP Gaining Early Awareness and Rediness for Undergraduate Programs

2024-25 GEAR UP Utah Scholarship 

The 2024/2025 GEAR UP Utah Scholarship is an exciting opportunity for eligible students to receive financial support for their undergraduate education. This one-time award of up to $740 is available to full-time students (prorated for part-time students) who meet the eligibility requirements. 

Eligibility Requirements 

To be considered for the 2024/2025 GEAR UP Utah Scholarship, you must meet the following requirements: 

  • PELL Eligibility: You must qualify for the Federal Pell Grant. Make sure you’ve completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine your eligibility. 
  • Age Limit: Applicants must be under the age of 22 at the time of award contract. 
  • GEAR UP Participation: You must have been a GEAR UP student during the years 2017-2024 and participated in GEAR UP activities during your senior year.
  • Enrollment in Undergraduate College/University: To receive the scholarship, you must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate institution. 

How to Apply 

  • Complete the FAFSA: If you haven’t already, submit your FAFSA to determine your Pell Grant eligibility. 
  • Confirm that you were a GEAR UP student between 2017 and 2024. 
  • Apply Early: Fill out this application. The scholarship is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
