Biography
Laura is the Director of the Utah Geospatial Resource Center (UGRC), the state's official map technology coordination office. A USU alumna with a Master's in Bioregional Planning, she has spent her career in Utah state government — working in land management at the Public Lands Policy Office and the Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands before joining UGRC. Laura is currently spearheading the launch of the Utah Geographic Information Systems Advisory Council (GISAC) to improve coordination and data sharing across state, federal, and local agencies. She is a strong advocate for GIS as a tool that helps people and organizations make better, more informed decisions.
