How to Apply
- Meet with your study abroad advisor to discuss program options based on your goals
- Find program(s) that match your interests
- Check that you meet GPA recommendations and requirements for the program. If you don’t, contact your study abroad advisor to discuss possibilities.
- Meet with your academic advisor to discuss fitting study abroad in your academic career
- When you’re ready to apply:
- “Apply Now” button on the USU program brochure
- Follow instructions in the application
- Estimated time to complete an application is 30 minutes to 1.5 hours
- Save your work often, as you will be automatically logged out after an idle period of time
- Many programs require a second application through a provider or partner, check with your study abroad advisor for your program

Faculty-Led
- Complete a USU study abroad application
- Faculty-led programs may require interviews or additional applications
Exchange
- Partner Exchange
- Complete a USU study abroad application
- Upon acceptance, you will be nominated to the partner institution and receive a partner application to complete
- Learn more about the partner exchange fee breakdown on the “Cost” tab of the program brochure
- International Student Exchange Program (ISEP)
- Complete a USU study abroad application and an ISEP application
- When completing a USU study abroad application, choose your top choice ISEP program
- Rank up to 10 programs in one ISEP application

- National Student Exchange (NSE)
- Complete a USU study abroad application and a NSE application
- Rank up to 8 programs in one NSE application
- Learn more about the NSE exchange fee breakdown
Direct
- Complete a USU study abroad application
- Complete a provider application (ISEP, ISA, CIEE, SIT, SAI, Semester at Sea, etc.)
