Course Auditing
Refer to USU Policy 350: Educational Benefits, Section 350.2.5. All benefit-eligible employees, who work 50% time or more, their spouses, and University retirees and their spouses qualify for auditing University courses without having to pay tuition. Applicable course fees (e.g., lab fees, or course material fees) will be assessed. Dependent children do not qualify for this benefit.
Process for Auditing a Class
- Be admitted to USU through the non-degree seeking application.
- Browse the USU course catalog, and find a class to match your interest.
- Complete the Application for Course Audit form on the first day of the semester. Do not complete prior to the first day or your request will be cancelled. After you log in, select the semester that you want to audit.
- The form will be routed to the instructor and your supervisor for consideration, then to the Registrar’s Office for final approval.
- Pay applicable fees.
- Enjoy the class!
