Health Coverage
Health coverage for USU Eastern and USU Blanding employees is provided by Public Employees Health Plan (PEHP). Employees may choose from Traditional or High Deductible plans.
Dental Coverage
Dental coverage for USU Eastern and USU Blanding employees is provided by EMI Health.
Vision Coverage
PEHP sponsors a plan to help ensure healthy vision for members and their families through EyeMed.
Health Savings Account
Employees who choose a High Deductible plan may also participate in the Health Savings Account (HSA) managed by HealthEquity. This plan encourages wellness and prevention, wise spending, and health-related savings.
Flexible Spending Account
Employees may allocate a portion of monthly earnings, pre-tax, to be used for health expenses and dependent care expenses, which can result in substantial tax savings. This amount is locked in for the plan year.
COBRA
The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) gives workers and their families who lose their health benefits the right to choose to continue group health benefits provided by their group health plan for limited periods of time.
