Dual Coverage Insurance

When both spouses are employed at Utah State University in benefit eligible positions, and wish to be part of the Dual Coverage medical/dental benefit, they may enroll in Dual Coverage within 30 days of beginning a new job, within 30 days of a life event, or during open enrollment.

Each employee will be enrolled in the same medical plan and each employee will pay a medical and dental premium. The employee that is the subscriber will pay the family or couple premium in the appropriate salary tier. The other employee will pay single premium for medical and dental according to their appropriate salary tier. We set up the subscriber as the employee earning the lesser salary, and the other employee will be listed as their dependent. Let us know if you want it set up differently.

To enroll or make changes to Dual Coverage, please complete the Enrollment Change form.
