Biography
Darin Mathis has worked for the University since 2017. He started as a P-Card auditor but in 2018 accepted the opportunity to change his focus to sponsored programs. As a sponsored programs auditor, he audits programs who receive grants or awards from government and private sponsors.
Darin was previously an accountant for a nation-wide mortgage company based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Prior to working in accounting, he worked a number of years in the construction industry specializing in remodels and additions.
He graduated from California State University, Sacramento in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an accounting focus. He holds certifications as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Control Self-Assessment (CCSA), and as an Export Compliance Professional (EAR/ITAR - ECoP®)
He holds certifications in Control Self-Assessment (CCSA), and as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) through the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), as a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) through the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), and as an Export Compliance Professional - EAR/ITAR (ECoP®) through the Export Compliance Training Institute (ECTI, Inc.).
