USU Quick CARE

Not Sure Where to Start? We Can Help.

Have a question about campus resources? Not sure which office can help? Need help figuring out your next step?

Quick CARE brings CARE staff directly into Utah State University residence halls on Monday evenings from 6–8 p.m. Any USU student can stop by for a free 10-minute consultation with a CARE staff member and get connected to resources and support that fit their needs.

You do not have to live in the residence hall where Quick CARE is being held. If you're a USU student, you're welcome to stop by.

You don't have to know exactly what you need before you come. That's what we're here for.

What Is Quick CARE?

Quick CARE is a strategic initiative designed to make support and resource navigation more accessible to students by bringing CARE staff directly into the residence hall community.

During a Quick CARE session, students can have a brief conversation with a CARE staff member about what's going on, ask questions, explore options, and identify helpful next steps.

Quick CARE consultations are approximately 10 minutes, making it easy to stop by between studying, dinner, work, or other evening activities.

Quick CARE Can Help You:

  • Find the right campus or community resource
  • Navigate academic, financial, basic needs, or personal challenges
  • Identify options for additional support
  • Get connected to campus departments and services
  • Find off-campus community resources
  • Determine whether a longer follow-up appointment would be helpful
  • Talk through a concern when you're simply not sure where to start

You don't need to be in crisis to use Quick CARE. Sometimes you just need someone to help you figure out what comes next.

How Quick CARE Works

1

Stop by and sign up for a timeslot (6-8 p.m.)

Visit the Quick CARE location in the residence hall hosting that week's session. You can attend regardless of which residence hall you live in or if you don't live in a residence hall at all.

2

Talk with CARE staff.

Share what's on your mind, ask a question, or tell us what you're trying to figure out. You only need to share what you're comfortable discussing.

3

Explore your options.

A CARE staff member can help you identify resources and determine which options may be a good fit for your situation.

4

Get connected.

If additional support would be helpful, CARE can help establish a direct pathway to follow-up services, campus resources, or community supports.

Why Quick CARE?

College can come with a lot of questions and finding the right office, person, or resource isn't always easy.

Quick CARE helps remove some of those barriers by bringing support closer to where students live and learn. Instead of wondering where to go or who to contact, students can start with a conversation in a familiar campus setting.

The program also strengthens connections between students, the CARE Office, Residence Life, and other campus and community resources. By making it easier for students to connect with support early, Quick CARE helps create pathways that can contribute to student well-being, persistence, and retention.
