Welcome to the Stat 2000 Webpage. This page contains news and
additional information regarding this class that becomes
available during the semester.
It is updated whenever
new dates, times, or other information become available.
This course closely follows Moore/McCabe/Craig (2009) as described
in the syllabus.
And here are the news:

- 6) Recitation and Tutoring Sessions:
Our recitation and tutoring sessions will be held at
- Tuesdays 10:00-11:45am: MS 204
- Tuesdays 4:00-5:45pm: Geol 315
- Wednesdays 7:30-9:00pm: Bus 214
- Thursdays 8:30-10:15am: Geol 315
- Thursdays 3:00-4:45pm: Geol 315
As stated on the first homework assignment, you can attend one of the Recitation/Tutoring sessions
each week and obtain a total of 3 extra credit (EC) points when you attend 50min out of the
first 60min of a Recitation/Tutoring session during the week when these extra credit problems will be solved
during that session.
Please be aware that 3 points is the maximum number of EC points you can
obtain in each week. You will not obtain 6 points even if you
turn in solutions to these EC problems as part of your regular homework
and also attend one (or more) of the Recitation/Tutoring sessions in a week.
The second hour in each of the five 2-hour blocks is a general walk-in
tutoring session. You can attend as many of these sessions as you want
during a week, but no extra credit will be provided when you
attend the second hour.
Additional walk-in tutoring labs are offered by the
Academic Resource Center. Please see their Web site
for the
Spring 2010 free drop-in tutoring schedule.
Times may change during the semester, so please check the ARC Web page
to make sure tutoring is available at your preferred time.
As a reminder, attending any of the recitation/tutoring sessions
is voluntary. However, this may be the easiest way to obtain a
better grade!
