“I sincerely hope that the experience of this crisis will continue to help us to value time spent with family and friends, that we have missed so much during this time. [M]any of our family have compromised immune systems. I do not worry about contracting the virus myself, I am fairly confident that I would come through it just fine. My concerns are for my husband and our children who would most likely suffer greatly and perhaps have detrimental long lasting effects if they were to contract the virus. For these reasons, along with recognizing that others require and appreciate this same respect, we will continue to wear our masks in public, continue keeping our distance and choosing to curtail our normal activities in an attempt to protect and keep each other safe."
“Espero sinceramente que la experiencia de esta crisis continúe ayudándonos a valorar el tiempo que pasamos con la familia y los amigos, que hemos extrañado tanto durante este tiempo. [M]uchos de nuestra familia tienen sistemas inmunes comprometidos. No me preocupa contraer el virus yo misma, estoy bastante segura de que lo superaría bien. Mis preocupaciones son mi esposo y nuestros hijos, quienes probablemente sufrirían mucho y tal vez tendrían efectos perjudiciales de larga duración si contrajeran el virus. Por estas razones, junto con el reconocimiento de que otros necesitan y aprecian este mismo respeto, continuaremos usando nuestras máscaras en público, continuaremos manteniendo nuestra distancia y optando por reducir nuestras actividades normales en un intento de protegernos y mantenernos a salvo mutuamente."
