Spring 2021 International Undergraduate Students
The New Student Orientation process contains five modules* (see descriptions below). To deliver the correct information at exactly the right time, module one opens October 14, and module five will be completed during your first semester at USU. Modules two, three, and four will help you register for classes, prepare to begin at USU, and give you final reminders before you arrive on campus. The fifth module will give you information that is relevant once you have started your first semester.
Incoming undergraduate international students can register for spring 2021 classes starting mid-November, based on earned credit hours on your Utah State transcript. Module two will tell you everything you need to know and do prior to registration (you will have a registration hold until you complete module two).
If you are still unsure if you are attending Utah State University, we recommend that you begin New Student Orientation, and register for classes as if you are attending. It is very easy to get a refund of your orientation fee, and to drop classes if you decide not to attend.
If you have questions, please email Stacie Denetsosie, International Orientation Program Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org or the Office of Global Engagement at email@example.com. We are happy to help you in any way that we can.
QUARANTINING & SELF ISOLATION: Due to the threat of spreading Covid-19, and in alliance with public health guidance, we will not hold an in-person International Orientation this year, but we will include additional information in sections 4 and 5 of the online orientation to help you acclimate to Utah State. Additionally all students are required to quarantine for 14 days before coming to a USU campus after traveling internationally. Please learn more on our website about how to quarantine before you arrive so you are prepared. Please plan to arrive at least 14 days before USU classes start to avoid missing classes. Spring Semester classes begin January 19, 2021
*If you no longer wish to attend Utah State please notify firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible.
