Hunter Nelson is a junior and is majoring in Mechanical Engineering with an Electrical Engineering minor. Hunter has been on the team for a year and is currently an Avionics/ADCS Engineer on the GASRATS project. Hunter has worked primarily on designing and building testing systems for the ADCS, namely a low-friction dynamic air-bearing, as well as assisting with the electrical and embedded systems design for the ADCS. Hunter’s favorite part of the team is the constant exposure to new concepts and challenges, promoting constant growth and learning in areas he never would have touched otherwise. In the future, Hunter will work within the space industry, particularly on projects that push technology forward and bring the dream of human interstellar travel closer to reality.
