Biography

Tyler Day is a junior in Mechanical Engineering with an Aerospace Emphasis and is pursuing a minor in Electrical Engineering. Tyler is currently the Lead Payload Engineer for the GASRATS project and has spent two years on the GAS Team. Throughout his time on the team, Tyler has led the design and building of a custom, low-cost thermal vacuum chamber for testing of the GASRATS payload along with the camera deployment system used on GASRATS to image the transparent patch antenna. Tyler’s favorite part of being on the GAS Team is the rough late nights spent in the lab squeezing every last drop of perfection out of a system of document before its deadline. After graduation, Tyler hopes to become a systems engineer at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
