Chenese Boyle - May 2024

Chenese Boyle has been awarded the Employee of the Month for May 2024.

As an Education Specialist, Chenese has done some groundbreaking work articulating agreements between USU and multiple technical colleges across the state. These agreements allow students to make a seamless transition from their technical certificates to bachelor’s degrees. Her recruiting, marketing, and informative efforts center around helping people see the many ways that education can fit their lives and meet their needs. Her work has helped change lives.

In her position, Chenese often acts as a jack-of-all-trades. The role of an educational specialist within a department is very flexible, and Chenese is always finding ways to make herself useful.

Chenese has caught the vision of our program’s goals which are to provide valuable, achievable educational opportunities for the students who need them. Chenese recognized early on that students needed not only the pathways to education but also the pathways to employment. With that in mind, she set out to cultivate positive relationships with the industries that are hiring our students. With her help, internship opportunities were found and filled. Most recently, Chenese has organized an advisory board composed of several industry experts. This board collaborates with Chenese and our faculty to enhance the quality of our instruction and make sure that our programs stay relevant to the field.

One of Chenese’s very best qualities is her positive and kind demeanor. Her office door is always open and she welcomes anyone who stops in. People come to Chenese for feedback on ideas or to brainstorm solutions together. Everyone values Chenese’s input. But even aside from her valuable input, Chenese contributes to a positive work environment by being genuine, remembering names, and uplifting people. She values her coworkers and their well-being, so she advocates for a healthy work-life balance. Everyone knows Chenese works hard and puts her family first. She is a wonderful example to follow and a great coworker to have.

Chenese’s efforts and attitude make her an exemplary employee, with her positivity impacting the overall success and reputation of our institution.
