What's New This Year?

  • A one-time, true open enrollment: The Hartford, our life and disability insurance carrier, is offering a one-time true open enrollment this year, which means you may elect supplemental life insurance for yourself up to $400,000, or five (5) times salary, whichever is less, and/or sign up for short-term disability without evidence of insurability.
  • The maximum annual contribution limit for a health Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is increasing to $2,650
  • All benefited employees will receive a salary increase of $10 per month to help offset medical and dental premium increases.
  • Copays for generic drugs will increase to $10 per prescription.
  • The premium for short-term disability (STD) will increase to $6 per month.

Changes during the open enrollment will become effective July 1, 2018 and be seen on your paystub August 1, 2018. Please visit hr.usu.edu/open-enrollment for more information.
