Jonathon Walters - September 2025

As program coordinator of the Student Nutrition Access Center (SNAC), Jonathon has transformed SNAC into a vital resource for thousands of students, growing its reach from serving 2,000 students annually to nearly 5,000 in just two short years. His leadership has not only expanded the pantry’s services but also created a welcoming, stigma-free environment where all students feel respected and supported.

Jonathon’s impact is seen in both big and small ways; from securing funding to provide more fresh and diverse food options, to introducing Halal foods for Muslim students during Ramadan, to launching a mobile pantry that serves both USU students and the Cache Valley community. Beyond operations, he is a mentor and collaborator, giving students hands-on opportunities that support their academic and professional growth. Jonathon’s vision, compassion, and dedication embody the very best of USU, and we are proud to celebrate him as our Employee of the Month.
