First observed over 50 years ago, Earth Day gives the global community a day to recognize and honor the planet. Here at Utah State, we plan a whole week of activities and events! Join us this year as the Aggie community celebrates Earth Week. We are excited for Earth Week 2026!
Monday April 13
Tribute to the Earth Concert with SOSNR
12-4pm, USU Quad
Description: Celebrate spring and the earth with this farmers-market type event! Stop by the quad for live music, food trucks, club tables, and student art vendors.
CCE Poster Celebration
4-6:30pm, TSC Lounges
Join us in celebrating the work of outstanding faculty, staff, students, partners, and alumni who exemplify collaboration between USU and the greater community, and demonstrate ongoing commitment to community engagement and positive social change.
Tuesday April 14
Sun Printing with EcoArt
12-2pm, NR Patio
Description: Join EcoArt to learn how to make nature-inspired cyanotypes. Cyanotypes are a kind of photographic print that use ultraviolet light to create blue prints. All materials and instructions will be provided, including snacks!
Beeswax Wraps
4-6pm, NR Atrium
Description: Come make a custom reusable beeswax wrap to take home! Beeswax wraps are a great sustainable alternative to plastic wrap or ziploc bags for food storage. All materials and instructions will be provided, and there will be pizza!
Wednesday April 15
Sew & Swap
12-5pm, TSC Lounges
Description: Drop in to our all-day sew & swap to learn how to mend and upcycle your old clothes, or swap them for something new. We will have different stations with instructions for different mending techniques, and volunteers there to answer your sewing questions. Tons of sewing materials provided, including sewing machines, patches, scrap fabric, pins, embroidery thread, embroidery hoops, and snacks!
Earth Yoga with Yoga Club
6-7:30pm, HPER 211
Description: Join Yoga Club for an earth-inspired yoga flow! We will meet in HPER 211 but may move outside if weather allows. Bring a yoga mat, towel, or blanket if you have one.
Thursday April 16
Day at the Farm with USU Student Organic Farm
2-5pm, Student Organic Farm
Description: Come stick your hands in some soil with us at the Student Organic Farm!
We will be weeding, planting wildflowers, and preparing our farm for our mobile chicken hut! Bring a hat, water and sunscreen. Feel free to stay for the whole time or just an hour or two! Watermelon and snacks will be provided.
Adopt a Plant with Plant Science Club
6-7:30pm, USU Teaching Greenhouse
Description: Join Plant Science Club for a propagation planting event! We will provide planting containers, soil, plant cuttings, and snacks. Come pick a plant to take home, and learn more about houseplant care.
Friday April 17
Birdwatching Walk
1-2:30pm, First Dam Pavillion
Description: Come look for birds with us at First Dam! We’ll have binoculars to borrow, and seasoned birdwatchers helping us ID the birds we see. Trail mix and granola bars will be provided!
End of Earth Week Celebration
3-5pm, TSC Lounges
Description: Join us to hang out, eat sandwiches, and celebrate Earth Week. We will have sustainability-related clubs and organizations tabling, plus an end of week slideshow. We will also be giving out prizes for the Ecohunt winners.
Saturday April 18
Wuda Ogwa Service Project
9am-3:30pm, Preston ID
Join us as we honor the legacy of Val R Christensen and support the Northwestern Band of Shoshone in their efforts to restore the ecosystem at Wuda Ogwa (located outside of Preston, ID). We will be planting native plants throughout the property formerly known as the Bear River Massacre Site.

Bike to Breakfast
8-10am, Aggie Blue Bikes
Start your day with a hearty breakfast, bike valet, live music, and raffles. This event is open to all students, faculty, and staff. Help reduce waste by bringing your own plate, mug, and utensils.

Love Poems for the Earth
4-6pm, Carolyn Tanner Irish Pavillion
Each year on this day, Catalans of all ages honor legends, love, and literature by exchanging books and roses. Come to celebrate this tradition and offer our love to Earth. Bring your used books to exchange!
