Third Annual Zoom Edu Summit Fosters Collaboration and Innovation in Education

The third annual Zoom Edu Summit, hosted in joint collaboration between Utah State University and Zoom, brought together more than 120 educators, IT professionals, and AV specialists from Utah and surrounding states for two days of hands-on learning and collaboration.

This year’s Summit featured targeted tracks for faculty, IT staff, and AV specialists, including opportunities for CTS certification and in-depth exploration of how Zoom's AI Companion is shaping the future of teaching and collaboration. In addition, representatives from 10 other companies - Algo, Crestron, DTEN, Embrava, HP Poly, Jabra, Korbyt, Logitech, Neat, and Shure - joined the event, sharing their products for hands-on demonstrations and engaging in conversations about the evolving needs of educational technology.

Designed to go beyond normal presentations, the Summit prioritized active dialogue and meaningful connection. Dr. Lance Ford, the Zoom Room Educator who led the faculty track, summed it up by encouraging attendees to challenge assumptions and help guide the future:

This is about building relationships, asking questions, and learning. Not just for [attendees] but for [Zoom] too… Challenge us. How can we do this better?

Zoom brought a dedicated team of executives, engineers, and experts to listen, engage, and grow alongside participants, highlighting a commitment to partnership and shared improvement.

Free to attend, the Summit provides an open opportunity for educators and technology professionals to connect, learn, and build relationships. Planning is underway for next year's Zoom Edu Summit in 2026.
