Salt Lake County will host the second annual Salt Lake Countywide Watershed Symposium on October 28th and 29th at the Salt Lake Community College Miller Campus (9750 S 300 W).
The Watershed Symposium will be an exciting opportunity for water quality professionals, academics, environmental advocates, and the interested public to discuss water quality opportunities and concerns in Salt Lake County. All water quality stewards are encouraged to attend! Please contact Marian Hubbard (; 801.468.2714) to register. As an incentive, the first 150 people to register will receive FREE LUNCHES for both days.

USU's Center for Advanced Nutrition hosts an open house for the opening of their metabolic research kitchen. The kitchen is located in the former 'Depot' of the Junction student dining facility. Initiated with USTAR funding, the Center for Advanced Nutrition will conduct human nutrition studies at the kitchen.

Chi Omega's Annual Halloween Carnival! For small children and families. Bring canned food (5 per family, or 1 per person) for entrance! All proceeds go to Cache Valley Food Pantry. Trick or treat at Halloween booths. Over 30 clubs and organizations put together booths for children who come. USU Nelson Fieldhouse. 4 pm to 6 pm.

TAIKOPROJECT is an energetic, youthful American taiko drumming ensemble influenced by hip hop and contemporary theatre. The group is hailed to be the TAIKO version of STOMP and 'not your mama's Taiko.' Highly recognized for its work in the 2005 Mitsubishi Motors commercial and for placing 1st at the International Tokyo Taiko Contest. Since the taiko drum is relatively new to the stage, this Japanese drumming tradition is now available to a new age of theatrical viewers. Loud, fast and clean with an energy level set at maximum!
