Lake Powell Kayaking

Recreation

We are heading down south to the amazing red rock and blue waters of Lake Powell to explore some of its many side canyons in sea kayaks. We will pack our kayaks with our gear and spend two nights camping on the lake. Participants must be able to swim and comfortable in open water. Trip cost includes transportation, kayak and group equipment, and student leadership.

The Robot Zoo

Explore the biomechanics of complex animal robots to discover how real animals work! This exhibit reveals the magic of nature as a master engineer. Robot animals and hands-on activities illustrate fascinating real-life characteristics, such as how a chameleon changes colors and how a fly walks on the ceiling. Great for ages 4 to adult.

Exhibit runs from September 14 to January 5

Devotional with Sister Sharon Eubank

Conference/Seminar

Come to a valley-wide young adult devotional with Sister Sharon Eubank, first councilor in the Relief Society general presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Sister Eubank is also the director of Latter-day Saint Charities, and has overseen church humanitarian work in the Middle East.

All USU students, young adults, and high school seniors are invited!

Doors to the Spectrum will open at 5:00, and please be seated by 5:45. Sponsored by the LDSSA club.
