Community Art Day: Create Your Own Papier-mâché Donuts!

Arts/Entertainment

Jean Lowe humorously explores the ironies and challenges of our 21st-century culture, including consumerism and commercialism, in the exhibition "Your Place in the Multiverse: Jean Lowe." Many of the artworks—including furniture, food products, and even a piano—are created from papier-mâché.

Come see the exhibition, get and inspired, and make your own papier-mâché food like Jean Lowe and fool your friends with a convincing looking donut!

Coffee from Caffe Ibis, hot cider and refreshments will be served!

Weather permitting, the activity will be held outside. All materials will be supplied—just bring your creativity! Masks are strongly encouraged.

Muses: A Museum Theatre Experience

Arts/Entertainment

Muses: A Museum Theatre Experience is a USU student project created by Megan Codling and Elise Willmore, both Theatre Education majors with a minor in History, and will be performed by Bailee Miner and Madison Rowley.

The project was inspired by the NEHMA exhibition "Women, Surrealism, and Abstraction," which features work from female artists that have been overlooked in art history. Muses will culminate in a performance with Madison Rowley creating a live painting in front of the audience as Bailee Miner performs a long-form poem that explores the role of women in art history.
