Important Financial Aid Deadlines
In general, you must have completed your FAFSA before the last day you attend classes in order to receive aid for a particular semester. To receive a loan, you need to have completed the FAFSA one month to six weeks before you cease attending in order to have a chance. However, the earlier you apply the better! Also be familiar the Fee Payment deadlines and the Payment Options at the Registrar's office (see "Calendars" for details).
Fall Semester 2013 (2013-14 FAFSA) - under construction
Students should consider filing their 2013-14 FAFSA by July 1 to have a good chance at meeting fall tuition deadlines. Students should file the 2013-14 FAFSA by Nov 1 to have a good chance at meeting other deadlines for fall term if they are not attending spring 2013. Students must have a complete file to be offered financial aid.

Scholarship application deadline
New and transfer students apply on their application for admission. If you have questions, contact the Admissions Office at 435-797-1129. Most campus departments have a February deadline. Check with your department for further details. Go to the scholarships page for more infomation.
Student loan disbursement schedule
Assuming your loan is approved in time, your funds should be electronically transferred to USU 2-3 days prior to the beginning of the semester. Remainder checks are mailed the day before the beginning of the semester. Directly deposited funds are deposited the first day of class. Aid is not available to students before classes begin.
