Flu Shots Available at Bear River Health Department
For the Utah State University employees and students who didn’t get an opportunity to attend the immunization clinic held on campus, don’t worry. USU’s Wellness Program encourages those who did not receive a seasonal flu immunization to take advantage of services at the Bear River Health Department, 655 E. 1300 North, just east of the Logan Regional Hospital. The department can be reached at 435-792-6500.
The Bear River Health Department is open Monday-Thursday (closed Friday), 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The cost of a flu shot or the flu mist is $25.
For USU students, the Student Health and Wellness Center will also have flu shots available by the end of September. Cost for students is $20. Information will be posted in the “Utah Statesman” Backburner section on availability, dates and clinic times.
USU’s office of Human Resources will reimburse benefit-eligible USU employees (and one additional dependent — either a spouse/partner or a child) $15 each for the flu shot during the months of September and October. A receipt must be attached to a reimbursement form available online. Paperwork should be sent to UMC 8800, attention Sharon Hislop.
The USU Wellness Program encourages everyone to protect themselves against the seasonal flu.
Updates and information on the H1N1 flu vaccine will be posted when it becomes available.
